Now Is A Great Time To Consider Internal Fundraising

If your fundraising group is located in the Valley of the Sun you know how hot it is and how that affects your fundraising efforts.

This is a great time of year to consider internal fundraising. If you are like most groups you have been to this well before and you don’t want to hear the groans and complaints from the (your) faithful.  If you try to just ask for donations you know how that goes. A small portion of your group will respond.

Have considered selling your group something that is af great value, is wanted and will be used? Your first question may just be … sure but where do I find this “magic” item?

We are going to make some assumptions to go along with this, but feel free to apply this to any other organization.  So, here we go.  You are responsible for raising funds for a large sports team.  The group has more than 200 hundred families involved.

As part of sign-up day you ask that each family contributes one favorite family recipe and $5.00 as part of a special sign-up donation.  Each family will get a team “cookbook”.  We are going to say that at least 80% follow through.  A couple of volunteers could handle this table easily.

So what you have is 160 donations of $5.00 and that gives you $800 income.  You put the collection of recipe into a word processor and set up all of the pages for the cookbook.  These pages with a cover picture now go to your local printer and for $300 he does your Team Cookbooks.  The results is that this fundraiser gives your team a special family value and $500 in the clear.  Consider a good old fashion bake sale as an alternative.

Just as an idea you could raise the same amount by having just 100 Sunset Coupon Books for sale at Sign-up and raise the same amount if only 50% buy a Sunset Coupon Book and you have a lot less work.  It is up to you.

Sunset Coupon Books contain hundreds of dollars in savings from local merchants. The savings enjoyed from using just one or two coupons will pay for the book. And who doesn’t need to save money these days?

Sunset Coupon Books are small enough to fit in a pocket or purse yet contain over 40 family-friendly coupons such as 2 for 1 Meals, and Attractions like Bowling, Mini-Golf, Skating, etc; a combined value of over $400 in savings.

Coupon Books sell for only $10 each. You pay $5 for them so you make $5 for yourself for a full 100% profit.

Local coupon book editions are available in Phoenix, Tempe / Mesa, Tucson and Salt Lake City.
