Make some noise. Contact your local paper, radio stations and TV channels; many local reporters are always interested in a good human interest story, especially if your efforts are for a local and popular charity.
Guess The Number of Jelly Beans. Place six ‘Guess How Many Jelly Beans’ jars in local restaurants or watering holes and try to raise $50 per jar…. Your customer places their guess and a $1 donation in the box under the jar. Winner gets jar of goodies and two coupons from the restaurant. Six jars and $50 each means you could easily raise $300!
Night Ins: Donate the money you and your friends would have spent on a night out by having a “Night In” instead!
Quiz Night: Organize at your night spot, within your company or church. Find someone to donate a few prizes, form teams of trivia buffs and use a Trivial Pursuit game (or write your own questions and make sure of your answers). Charge each person or team to enter and play for the donated prizes.
