Show and Deliver

The most traditional way to sell is by going door-to-door.  If that is the way your organization would like to do your fundraising that is a great way to start out. Is there a best time to do your fundraising?

This isn't a tongue-in-cheek answer.  The best time is when people are home.  The type of neighborhood reflects on this as well.  In some neighborhoods you have more stay-at-home Moms.  There you can try mornings, late afternoons or early evenings.  Waking the baby at naptime won't make you any friends.

The more affluent neighborhoods early evening is the best and of course consider weekends as well. Saturday is very much open but you will find that people are out-and-about on weekends so you will find many no-answers as you do your fundraising.  Sundays, mid afternoon is usually the best time to prospect.

When you do get answer make sure your introduction is very brief and you let the potential donor see the Sunset Coupon Book right away.  Stress the many money saving locations that the customer can take advantage of.  Remind them this is a donation for; make sure they hear what group and why you are raising funds. Remind them these coupon books allow them to save hundreds at local restaurants and great fun locations.

The customer is able to select the Sunset Coupons Books that he or she wishes to buy. You then hand over the product and collect the money right then and there.  A quick way to help your group meet your fundraising needs.
