Five Fast Fundraising Tips.

Grassroots
Contact your list of regular contributors and explain your need for needed funds. Email, faxes and phone calls are the fastest ways to contact them. Leave all the information necessary for them to make a donation. Remember to say "thank you" in advance.

Walkathons
Put together a walkathon. Reserve a venue at a local park or school track. Check with local authorities regarding any reservation or regulation issues. Advertise your walkathon using fliers, press releases to the media and social media. Make up and pass out sign-up sheets as well as sheets for the donations from sponsors. Get everyone in the organization to walk and find others to sponsor them.

Have volunteers help with decorating the venue, check-in, giving out information about the organization and any sales items. Ask local businesses to donate cold drinks, water and ice to serve or sell.

Bake Sales
Check with local authorities to obtain all necessary permits such as food-handling licenses and certifications. Locate a venue to hold your bake sale at a church or school. Advertise the fundraiser. If possible have the baked goods donated by local businesses, and get homemade items (if allowed in your area) from members of the organization or other contributors. Set competitive prices for the baked goods.  Provide recipes for the baked goods as part of the event.

Rummage Sales
Get donated items for your rummage sale.  Arrange for volunteers to help with the sale. Advertise your rummage sale. Price the items for a quick sale. Set up your rummage sale in an organized manner.

Karaoke Night
Reserve a venue and a karaoke machine. Set your prices, offering "deals" to those who want to sing several songs. Advertise your karaoke night. Enlist volunteers to help with decorations, check-in, song selection and to DJ the event. Remember to have at least two extra people willing to sing, in case there are lulls during the event.

  1. You should also include a "Donate Now" button not only on the Home Page but on every subsequent web page to consistently remind people to donate for a noble cause.
