Fundraising Road Bumps

We all know that you can’t please everyone.  So… don’t expect to.  This year many students will be asked by a school organization to go out into the world and raise funds for the very first time.

This can happen at any level of “school.”  From pre-school and day care through elementary, middle school, high school and beyond.

We are given very good reasons for these fundraising efforts.  The most basic is that with out the fundraising the “group” won’t have all the funds they need to operate.  Most groups also have fees that the parents must pay for their student to join the group.

It is true that many groups need to have a stream of funds that goes well beyond the fees students pay to join.  The funds may be needed for basic necessities or other needs like travel expenses.

No matter the need the focus here is that you must expect that many folks that are approached will have many different reasons that will lead them to have a resounding no as their answer.  This can stem from their lack of funds or the feeling that everyone has their hand out and they have to say no to someone.  They may have had a bad experience in the past and don’t trust many people going forward.

While there are many ways to raise funds, it is better if you can delivery a quality product “right now” to the potential buyer or donor.  Keep in mind that even with a “right now” product not everyone likes pop-corn, chocolate or calendars.

At Sunset Coupons we find that a “free Lunch” is still a very good incentive.  Please consider for your group local coupons that serve all parts of the transaction.

Your group benefits with matching funds from the sale.  Your buyer gets a value of $400.00 plus for just $10.  The local merchant benefits by introducing a new customer to their business. A real win, win, win!

Give us a call at Sunset Coupons ( 800-627-6340 ) so we can help your group raise your much needed funds.
