Higher Education and Fundraising

If you are considering a career in non-profit management or Fundraising you will want to consider a degree program that is well matched to your working goals.

Current Offerings in University Based Programs is a database of nonprofit management programs at more than 250 U.S. colleges and universities. Compiled by Seton Hall University, the site includes online programs, and users can browse institutions by name, state, or program type (noncredit, continuing education, undergraduate, graduate, doctoral).

The Nonprofit Quarterly publishes an annual education directory in its Spring issue. Based on Seton Hall's database of nonprofit management education programs, the directory provides a listing of programs in fundraising and nonprofit management by state. More in-depth information for each listing is available in the online version of each directory, which is made available at the magazine's web site.

The Nonprofit Academic Centers Council (NACC) is a membership association of academic centers and programs at accredited colleges and universities that focus on the study of nonprofit organizations, voluntarism, and philanthropy. The NACC provides a listing of member institutions at its web site.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness

The Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program was created to encourage individuals to enter and continue to work full-time in public service jobs. Under this program, you may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance due on your eligible federal student loans after you have made 120 payments on loans under certain repayment plans while employed full time by certain public service employers.
